Sylvia Lopez – Winner of 2026 Y-Not Go On Scholarship

Sylvia is an exceptional student whose academic record speaks to both her intellect and her work ethic. She graduates as salutatorian of Notus Jr. Sr. High School while also serving as Student Council President and President of Future Hispanic Leaders of America. Beyond her academic distinction, she gives back as a paraeducator at the Pirate Learning Center, the same after-school program that supported her as a child, where she now offers younger students academic support and a steady, caring presence. Her decision to pursue nursing reflects exactly who she is: someone drawn to compassionate, one-on-one care.

Sylvia will be graduating from Notus Jr. Sr. High School and plans to attend Boise State University to study Nursing.
