ForeverWell (55+)
ForeverWell is a collection of fitness, educational, recreational, and social programs and events designed to connect you to the Treasure Valley Family YMCA community. Our focus is on creating a space for achievement, finding a sense of belonging, building relationships and working on our overall health and well-being. Whether you are an Active Older Adult or new to the community and looking for a place to begin, check out our ForeverWell programming. We hope you join us!
Insurance Based Membership
At the Treasure Valley Family YMCA, we offer 3 insurance-based membership plans: Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit and Renew Active. Many Medicare Advantage/Supplemental health plans offer these programs to eligible insurance participants. If you qualify, you’ll get to work out more, meet new friends, and be more social. The best part of all is that there is no cost to you. Our Insurance Based members also have the option to add a second family member on their membership for $30/month.
To get started today, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card or visit any of our 4 Treasure Valley Family YMCA facilities to find out if you qualify. All you need to bring with you is your license or any government-issued identification and your insurance card.
FOREVERWELL COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
The YMCA offers a variety of programs aimed at building relationships, connecting with your community, and creating a sense of belonging within the YMCA community.
Community Connections will offer opportunities to learn new skills, increase participation in programs of interest, and assist with building relationships with others on this journey. Community Connection type programs consist of life-long learning opportunities, fun and games, social programming, and ways to get involved with volunteer opportunities and clubs.
NEUROLOGICAL REHAB PROGRAMS
At the YMCA, we’re dedicated to fostering health and well-being for everyone, regardless of their journey. As part of this commitment, we offer specialized programs to address unique health challenges and empower individuals to lead fuller lives. Whether it’s improving brain health, enhancing mobility, or building strength, our programs provide the tools and community support to make a meaningful difference.
For individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, we offer two transformative programs: Delay the Disease and Rock Steady Boxing. Delay the Disease focuses on improving mobility, strength, and cognitive function through evidence-based exercises tailored to all functional abilities. Meanwhile, Rock Steady Boxing takes a unique approach by adapting boxing drills to combat Parkinson’s symptoms, helping participants build agility, endurance, and confidence as they face the disease head-on. Both programs foster resilience and determination, offering a sense of community and empowerment along the way.
We’re also proud to provide resources for individuals and families navigating memory-related challenges. HOPE – Healthy Options for Prevention Excellence is a free, monthly virtual education program developed in partnership with Saint Alphonsus Memory Center, sharing evidence-based strategies to improve brain health and reduce dementia risk. For those in the early stages of dementia or mild cognitive impairment, Movement for Memory offers targeted interventions to maintain cognitive function, improve physical health, and enhance overall quality of life.
Together, these programs embody our mission to support health, confidence, and community for all.
