Jim Everett, a 40-year YMCA veteran who has served as the CEO of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA (Y) for the past 28 years, has announced to the Y’s Board of Directors that he is ready to retire and transition out of this role.
Everett wants to leave at the peak of his career, and he stands ready to help the community in other ways. Jim said, “It is time. This has been a wonderful ride for me and my family. We have embarked on my last fundraising campaign. It is a big one, and I want to leave on the highest note in my career. This will help me to leave with a great feeling and will help give whoever follows me a great jump start to success.”
The Y is volunteer-founded, volunteer-governed, and volunteer-supported. The Board of Directors will coordinate the search for the next CEO, working with Jim to ensure a seamless passing of the reigns of this great organization to its next leader. The hiring process is expected to take approximately 6 to 9 months. The Treasure Valley Y is very well respected nationally, so the CEO search is expected to draw an outstanding pool of candidates.
