March is Brain Injury Awareness Month! This month is a significant focus of Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS). STARS’s Brain Injury Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its adult, adolescent, and child services. CARF Accreditation is the public seal of trust and commitment to quality, ensuring that patients receive the best care possible in the most effective and efficient manner.
The Saint Alphonsus Health System and STARS continuum of care is the only system in the Intermountain West that provides a complete regimen of care for people recovering from concussions and severe brain injuries. Saint Alphonsus is also the only Level 2 Trauma Hospital in the Treasure Valley region. The Brain Injury Program at STARS provides a comprehensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation service to people who have sustained a brain injury.
Our system of care promotes the highest quality of care and supports the involvement of all levels of health care providers. Additionally, Saint Alphonsus Health System and STARS coordinate with local and statewide resources to facilitate patients’ transition to their home communities.
Saint Alphonsus Physical Therapy is located inside the West and Downtown YMCA’s. Please visit www.starspt.org » to learn more about the STARS Brain Injury Program and CARF.
