With full hearts, we would like to thank each and every one of you who has supported the Y’s cause over the years. Today our County Commissioners, after hearing all the facts, made the decision to approve our 100% property tax exemption, just as they have done for 122 years. We’d like to thank them for their dedication to process and this amazing community. This decision reflects how important the Y’s presence is in our community. Throughout our history, the Y values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and the belief that all people should have the opportunity to reach their full potential, has made the Y a hub of partnership and possibility throughout the Treasure Valley. We are so blessed to be able to do the work we do.

At the hearing today, a few individuals testified on behalf of the Y, including Noail Isho, a 17-year-old boy who was once a refugee unable to swim and is now a flourishing swimmer, lifeguard, and outstanding youth leader.
