Ixzetl Arizmendi – 2025 Civic Engagement Scholarship Recipient

Ixzetl is committed to making sure her community is a welcoming one to all. All too aware of the
challenges she and many young Latina women face, she has embraced the role of mentor and
representative for her fellow students. With extensive experience in student council and the Young
Women in Leadership Conference, she has burnished her skills as a gentle, yet firm leader with a strong
voice. Ixzetl was selected to attend the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, DC
where she saw a variety of possibilities for creating positive and lasting change both locally and
nationally. She’s excited to start her higher education toward becoming an attorney with the skills
needed to support her community.

Ixzetl will be graduating from Caldwell High School and plans to attend College of Idaho.
