Safia Mnongerwa – 2025 Y-Not Go On Scholarship Recipient

Safia has dreamed of going to college from a young age. As a first generation American, she knows that she has opportunities her parents only dreamed of, and her mother has been instrumental in urging her to aim high. She is a convener of people, working to ensure others feel included and supported whether as a founder of her school’s Muslim Girls Association or as a mentor to younger students in both her school’s AVID program and the Lunch Buddies program. We are delighted to support her next steps in achieving the American Dream.
